Redesigning Zé Delivery app for a fresh look and better interaction

Context

Zé Delivery, part of the AB InBev group, is on a mission to build Latin America’s leading beverage delivery platform by offering the fastest, most reliable service in the market.

The app serves as the gateway to an unparalleled network of distributors, ensuring customers can order their favorite drinks anytime, anywhere, with exceptional coverage and convenience.

Opportunity

While Zé Delivery had set a new standard for speed and value, the app’s previous iteration lagged behind the brand’s reputation for excellence. The user experience and visual identity failed to reflect the efficiency and affection that customers associated with Zé.

My challenge was to reimagine the app, elevating usability and crafting a vibrant, memorable interface that would resonate with users and strengthen brand affinity.

Discovery

1. Shadowing
To ground our design process in real-world insights, we embedded ourselves within the operational ecosystem. By shadowing partners at distribution points, we gained a firsthand understanding of workflows and service challenges.

2. User interviews
We conducted in-depth interviews with both end-users and partners. These conversations were crucial for building empathy and ensuring the redesign addressed genuine user problems.

Solution

Armed with research-driven insights, we prioritized the most impactful opportunities for improvement, focusing our efforts on the Home and Product pages, the core screens driving engagement and conversion.

New Menu Architecture
Improved information hierarchy and grouping for faster, more intuitive navigation.

Enhanced Navigation Bar Surfaced high-priority actions and pages, reducing friction and boosting discoverability.

Visual Redesign
A bold, contemporary look and feel to reinforce the energetic brand and foster emotional connection.

A vibrant new look
